Tour Duration - 5 hours.

8am         Pick up from CBD hotel for the journey by car to Manly.

7.5km       Walk from Shelley Beach to North Head return, allowing 2.5 hours.

At Shelley Beach headland we stop for an Acknowledgement of Country, paying our respects to the Traditional Custodians of the area.  We then proceed North into North Head Reserve (known as Car-rang-gel by the local Gayemagal people).  Along the walk, we pass many beautiful sights across the ocean, ancient rock formations and unique flora and fauna.  Often stopping to look for some wildlife along the way.  During the walk, we will occasionally take a minute or 2 to walk in silence and just take in all of the sights and sounds around us.

We head next to Fairfax Lookout to look into the Harbour and see a spectacular view of Sydney City, here I will talk about the history of the area and Aboriginal Culture.  We will pass through The Barracks and North Fort exploring the reason for the construction and its use during WWII, before heading through to Q Station and begin our descent back down through Manly along the coastal track past the marine-protected Cabbage Tree Bay towards Shelley Beach.

Guests can enjoy a gourmet grazing platter lunch, either overlooking Shelley Beach or after a short drive back at Fairfax Lookout with Sydney CBD in the distance across the harbour.

We will then return by car to the hotel for drop-off by 1pm.

The tour price is inclusive of between 2 and 4 people.

If guests have visited Manly before, we can return through the peaceful Shelley Beach track with a deeper focus on the ecology of North Head

If guests prefer to experience the return journey by ferry, there is an option for me to take them to Manly Wharf to meet the ferry.
